At Melchor, we believe strong communities are the foundation of a sustainable future. Our approach to community engagement centres on building meaningful partnerships, supporting local organisations, and creating lasting, positive impact in the regions where we operate. We focus on initiatives that promote health and wellbeing, encourage participation, and deliver practical outcomes that benefit communities over the long term, from grassroots sporting clubs like the Karratha Falcons, to broader health and wellbeing programs and partnerships like our collaboration with Fair Game.
Fair Game
As part of our broader community commitment, Melchor proudly supports Fair Game, a health charity delivering sport, fitness and health education programs, along with recycled sports equipment, to remote and under‑serviced communities.
Fair Game’s programs encourage children to stay active, improve health outcomes, reduce lifestyle and communicable disease, minimise waste through equipment recycling, and contribute to closing the life expectancy gap between Indigenous and non‑Indigenous Australians.
Dandelions WA
Dandelions WA supports underprivileged children by providing brand-new school backpacks filled with essential items such as stationery, lunch boxes, water bottles, hats and toiletries, helping to create a more equal and confident start to the school year.
Melchor is proud to support this initiative, with our apprentices, trainees, and graduates contributing each year by packing backpacks as part of our annual Rising Talent Day.
Karratha Falcons
Melchor began sponsoring the Karratha Falcons Football Club in 2021 as part of our commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate. This partnership later expanded to include the Karratha Falcons Netball Club, where we proudly supported the NAIDOC Round in 2023. Through Melchor’s sponsorship, the Falcons Netball Club was able to purchase new playing bibs for all 14 teams.
As a business, we are proud to continue our support of the Karratha Falcons and to contribute to initiatives that strengthen community connection and spirit.
Community Grants Program
As a Monadelphous business, Melchor is proud to be part of the Monadelphous Community Grants Program – an initiative that supports the communities where we live and work.
Through this program, Monadelphous partners with grassroots organisations, schools, charities and local events to create meaningful impact and leave a positive, lasting legacy across regional Australia. Community Investment Plans are tailored to key regions, ensuring support is targeted, relevant and delivers real outcomes.
Beyond funding, our people actively contribute through volunteering, donations and community involvement. Together, we support initiatives across education, health, Indigenous engagement and respectful behaviours, helping build stronger, more connected communities.
