Located east of Dongara in Western Australia, the Waitsia Gas Field is recognised as one of the largest onshore gas discoveries in Australia. The Waitsia Stage 2 Project involves the further development of the gas field through the construction of additional wells and a new production facility capable of producing up to 250 terajoules of gas per day.
The project represents a significant investment in Australia’s energy infrastructure, supporting the reliable supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to meet growing global demand while continuing to provide domestic gas for Western Australian manufacturers, businesses and households.
As a major resource development in the Mid West region, Waitsia Stage 2 plays an important role in strengthening long-term energy security and supporting economic growth across Western Australia.
