Greenbushes Chemical Grade Plant 3 (CGP3)

Melchor delivered a comprehensive scope of structural and civil works on the project, encompassing detailed earthworks, pile cropping, and all associated formwork, reinforcement and concrete activities, including the supply and installation of cast-in items and high-duty bolts. Key components of the works included the 18-metre-high Primary Crusher, a 54-metre-long FOS Tunnel, two HPGR buildings, and the TA Recovery Building featuring a 6-metre-high suspended slab, along with ROM backfill and drainage systems. In total, the project comprised approximately 25,000 cubic metres of concrete, 3,700 tonnes of reinforcement, and over 145,000 cubic metres of bulk earthworks, reflecting its significant scale and complexity.

The project was successfully completed on time, with the handover of two separable portions and the achievement of multiple key milestones in accordance with the program. Following the successful delivery of the CGP3 civil and concrete works, Melchor was subsequently awarded the Civil Support Services Contract, resulting in an extended site presence for an additional 18 months.
