Brockman Syncline 1 is a greenfield satellite mine development to the Brockman 4 operation, located within the Greater Brockman Hub in the West Pilbara, approximately eight kilometres north of the existing B4 mine.

The project is designed to deliver high-grade ore to Brockman 4 from 2027, supporting ongoing production requirements. Ore from BS1 will be primary crushed onsite before being transported via an overland conveyor to the existing B4 processing plant for processing, stockpiling and train loading.

Melchor was engaged to deliver a comprehensive civil and concrete package, including the placement of approximately 7,000 cubic metres of concrete and the installation of 1,200 tonnes of reinforcement. The scope also included the manufacture and installation of major precast elements, including 120-tonne footings and large electrical pits.

Additional works undertaken by Melchor included piling for a creek crossing, detailed earthworks to support concrete construction and electrical trenching activities, and the execution of critical shutdown works to facilitate integration with existing infrastructure.
