Once complete, the Albany Ring Road will be an 11.5km long heavy haulage route around the City of Albany, allowing large freight trucks to bypass local traffic to and from the Port of Albany. The Albany Ring Road will link the existing major arterial roads and highways radiating from Albany, providing improved access to the Mirambeena Industrial Estate.

Once complete, the project will see:
• Improved freight productivity and access to freight gateways
• Improved connectivity between major freight infrastructure, including airports and commercial and industrial areas
• Improved road safety

Melchor Contracting has been engaged to construct all in-situ concrete works (including reinforcement, formwork, and concrete placement) for two bridges, one located over South Coast Highway and the other ‘Hanrahan Road Bridge’ over railway on Frenchman Bay Road.

Melchor Contracting will construct the following structures:

  • Abutments
  • 9m tall Centre Pier Columns
  • Deflection Footings & Walls
  • MSE Wall Precast Panel installation
